The “Directory of Businesses Owned And Operated by Minority Persons, Women, and Persons with Disabilities” (M/W/PD) is an annual publication, that provides a valuable networking resource and reference for the acquisition and selling of products and services. All of the businesses listed in the directory are recognized by Genesee County as bona fide M/W/PD businesses. Genesee County recognizes the certification of M/W/PD businesses that have been certified as bona fide M/W/PD businesses by certifying agencies in the state of Michigan. The businesses were selected after a review of their certification process and a determination that the process was thorough and met the objective of ensuring that the M/W/PD ownership of each certified business is bona fide. The directory listing includes all businesses that were actively conducting business as of 10-01-2002. Listed below are the abbreviations used in the directory to identify how each of the M/W/PD businesses have been certified.
