Head Start & Early Head Start Programs
Head Start is a comprehensive developmental preschool and Family
program for low income families. It is the goal of the Head Start program
to provide socialization and readiness activities for children from birth
through five years of age and to assist families to meet the goal of
building a strong nuclear foundation. Over two thousand children were
served in either a Center based or Home Based model. Both of these
comprehensive models include Education, Health, Social Services, Parent
Involvement, Nutrition, and Behavioral Health Services
