Genesee County Solid Waste Management Plan
Genesee County has updated the Solid Waste Management Plan for the county.  The Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Act, 1994 PA 451, as amended , Part 115, Solid Waste Management, and its Administrative Rules, requires that each county have a Solid Waste Management Plan Update every 5 years and that it be approved by the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality.

As of April 18, 2002, the MDEQ approved the Genesee County Solid Waste Management Plan.  Implementation of the Plan began at the time of approval.  A Solid Waste Implementation Committee will be formed to coordinate the implementation.

A copy of the Genesee County Solid Waste Management Plan can be obtained free of charge at the Genesee County Metropolitan Planning Commission Offices (1101 Beach Street, Flint, MI 48502-1470).
