CBC Recycling will pay $40.00 for each ton of white or light colored paper, newspaper, or magazines.
CBC Recycling is currently offering this program to schools, and starting March 2007, to neighborhood groups and non-profits.
This is how it works:
Schools or groups take sorted materials to CBC Recycling where the materials will be weighed.
The amount of materials each organization brings to CBC Recycling will be recorded, and a check will be issued as soon as one ton is accumulated.
With every ton of materials collected from your organization, certificates will also be issued to let your residents or students know what their efforts have done to save the world in terms of trees saved, water conserved, energy saved, etc...
All materials must be sorted.
Bins are available for free, however there is a $35 replacement fee if bins are lost or damaged.
Dark colored paper or construction paper is not accepted.
Material can be brought in Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 3:30pm. Please call first.
For more information call (810) 239-5040, and ask for Jean or Stephanie.
While you are there, you can also drop off other items such as cardboard, #1 and #2 plastic bottles, and aluminum or metal cans.
Location
CBC Recycling is located at 1801 South Saginaw Street, Flint, Michigan 48503 (corner of Saginaw and 13th Street).
