Public
Comment Periods
The Genesee County Metropolitan Planning Commission (GCMPC) is committed to ensuring that citizen input will figure prominently throughout the planning development process. Some plans require a period ranging from several days to several weeks to receive public comment. The public comment period will vary depending on specific program requirements. During this time, public comments will be received by GCMPC in written form. Notices indicating the availability of the documents and the locations where the documents can be found are published in one newspaper of general circulation and one newspaper directed at one of the special interest groups. For more information on how citizen input is incorporated into GCMPC's planning process, please view our Public Participation Plan.
