If you receive a ticket for No Proof of Insurance, and your car was insured at
the time, but you were just unable to locate the proof, you may present the
proof of insurance to the Court within 20 days of the date of your ticket and
the cost of the ticket will be reduced to $25.00. The proof of insurance
must indicate the car you were driving was insured on the date you received the
ticket.
If you present the proof of insurance within 20 days of the
date of your ticket and pay the $25.00 fee, you will not be assessed Driver
Responsibility fees for No Proof of Insurance by the State.

The schedule of sanctions listed on the back is provided for the convenience of motor vehicle drivers who wish to:
Admit responsibility and submit payment by mail, via internet www.co.genesee.mi.us , in person, or by representation for a civil infraction, or;
Plead guilty by mail to a misdemeanor offense for which personal appearance is not mandatory.

If paying in person or by mail, your payment must be accompanied by your signed copy of the citation indicating you ADMIT RESPONSIBILITY OR PLEAD GUILTY.
ALL PAYMENTS MUST BE PAID TO THE COURT WITHIN 20 DAYS FROM THE DATE THE CITATION WAS ISSUED. After 20 days, a $25.00 late fee will be added.
FINES AND COSTS NOT PAID WITHIN 56 DAYS OF THE DUE DATE ARE SUBJECT TO AN ADDITIONAL 20% LATE FEE ON THE AMOUNT OWED.
