The circuit and probate courts adopted Joint Local Court Rule 2.119 which requires that concurrence be sought in motion practice.
The judges considered various methods by which the rule could be enforced. The county clerk is directed to refuse to accept motion filings that do not include the required certification.
The following exceptions apply:
1. all filings initiated by the Friend of the Court
2. motions in cases where no answer has been filed
3. motions filed where both parties are pro per
4. motions related to the
issuance, modification or
enforcement of a PPO
5. motions filed by prisoners
6. creditor examinations
