HelpNet EAP (Employee Assistance Program)
Under the direction of the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources bi-monthly newsletter is published. The "LINK", HR News is specifically for policy information that relates to benefits, terms of works rules, and conditions of employment. Reminder updates concerning changes or requirements within policies are included. Training information and program reminders are routine articles.
Under the LAMPS Program initiative of “Communication and Awareness,” the County Chatter publication has become a fundamental part of information sharing for County employees. Departmental and personal announcements, program information, kudos and a letter from the County Board Chair are standard articles. Article contributions are always welcome and can be sent to the Human Resources.
ANNUAL EMPLOYEE SERVICE AWARDS PROGRAM
The service awards program recognizes those employees with 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 years of credited service to Genesee County as of December 31 of the previous year. The Awards Program includes a luncheon and an award presentation ceremony. It is held the 2nd Tuesday in May.
