All insurance benefits are effective the 1st of the month following completion of required straight-time hours of employment. Eligible employees are required to complete 520 straight-time hours before being eligible for health care, disability, and life insurance coverage and 1040 straight-time hours for dental and optical (2080 hours for members of AFSCME Locals 2259 and SEIU Local 517M).
