The Walk for Warmth is a statewide effort to promote public awareness concerning people experiencing heat-related emergencies.  This program allows GCCARD to advocate and fund raise on their behalf. Participants raise pledges and then complete a 3 mile 'Walk for Warmth' organized group walk in the downtown Flint area. 

There are 20 other Community Action Agencies such as GCCARD hosting a Walk for Warmth in the month of February.  GCCARD sponsors many activities within the agency each year to raise funds for the Walk.  All monies raised in this effort in Genesee County stays in Genesee County.
